ABSTRACT

The most important response of pulmonary blood vessels to disease is the development of increased pulmonary arterial pressure that may result from parenchymal disease of the lungs, changes in the walls of the blood vessels or obstruction to the lumen caused by thrombosis or embolization.

The aim of the authors in this study, was to make a actual review of the medical literature about of primary and secondary pulmonary hypertension.

We report about this entity, essentially physiopatologic concepts, diagnosis approach and therapeutics aspects, more recent.
