SUMMARY

The thoracoscopy is a surgical - medical technical with diagnosis and /or therapeutics finality. The quality's improvement of instruments and greater experiences will permit the technical realization in many situations at present made by thoracotomy. The enlargement of the thoracoscopy's actuation without overvalue's intention in relation to the thoracotomy will contribute not only for the precocious intervention but also to best quality of patient's life. By thoracoscopy's event in many pleura-parenchymatous pathologies, the AA decided make a brief theoretical review of the most important literature's aspects and a experience's sample of Respiratory Endoscopy Unit (UER) of Hospital Santa Maria (HSM).
