Resumo

As sociedades científicas respiratórias europeia e americana (ERS e ATS) constituíram um grupo de trabalho sobre a “Avaliação dos resultados nos ensaios clínicos na DPOC: da função pulmonar aos marcadores biológicos” para informar a comunidade de investigadores em DPOC sobre o possível uso e limitações dos resultados obtidos e marcadores usados actualmente na avaliação do impacto da terapêutica farmacológica. Com base na revisão da literatura, este documento aborda diferentes secções que avaliam marcadores e resultados específicos: função pulmonar; resultados centrados no doente; exacerbações; nortalidade; impacto social e económico; exames de imagem; marcadores não pulmonares; mínima diferença clinicamente significativa; marcadores biológicos.
