ABSTRACT

The in vivo diagnosis of asthma remains a challenge in clinical practice. The clinical history, physical examination, skin tests and quality of life evaluations, with additional respiratory function tests, are the basis of diagnosis and monitoring of this disease. We review some of the most practical aspects of the in vivo diagnosis of asthma.
