ABSTRACT

A thorough review on BAL data in hipersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is made. The HAL cell profile on the different phases of HP is discussed, the CD4/CD8 ratio, the lung Tcell murkers of activation. Then the BAL findings in asymptomatic exposed Individual are addressed as the pattern of alveolitis during follow-up. Finally the diugnostic relevance of the BAL findings in HP is defended.
